The City of Lebanon in its continual commitment to the health, safety, and welfare of its citizens is taking the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic very seriously and is in the process of creating and implementing policies and procedures for the conducting of City business that strive to protect both citizens and City employees from possible exposure. The CDC has implemented certain guidelines for exposure reduction that include engaging in socially responsible actions such as refraining from attending meetings or group functions involving ten or more people unless absolutely necessary. To that end, while the City Council must continue to meet in order proceed with the business of the City, I am temporarily encouraging anyone interested in the meeting take advantage of the City Council meeting video broadcast opportunities that exist and consider refraining from attending the meeting in person. By doing so, you will limit not only your own possible exposure, but also the possible exposure of other people. The City Council meetings are broadcast live on Charter/Spectrum channel 198 and on the City’s YouTube channel, a link to which can be found on the City of Lebanon, TN – Government Facebook page before every meeting.
