The City of Lebanon Engineering Department has completed the design and the work will be done by the City Street Department, the City’s annual paving and striping contractors, Bluewater and Kerr Bros., as well as the City’s on-call signal coordinator, S & W Contracting.

“It is very exciting to have the ability to improve our roadways with the safety and convenience of our residents in mind,” said City of Lebanon Mayor Bernie Ash. “We are looking forward to the completion of this project and are thankful to those who have made it possible,” he said.

"The Engineering Department is consistently looking for opportunities to improve our roadway system. The right turn lane projects were initiated as cost effective solutions that would provide significant improvements at congested intersections,” said Kristen Rice, City of Lebanon Transportation and Traffic Engineer. “It is always exciting to see a project completed, but especially so when the project is a successful joint effort between several City departments. Special thanks go to the City Street Department for their work on the turn lanes’ construction,” she said.

These projects began Monday, September 21 with a budget of $50,000 and will be completed in the next few weeks. These improvements will increase capacity on the roadways and reduce delays at the intersections.

For residents’ safety, traffic control will be in place as needed. Drivers and motorists are asked to proceed with caution when traveling through these intersections until the work is completed.
