The TN Department of Health is partnering with pharmacies and community health clinics to add more than 100 new vaccination sites across the state. Our local hospital and several local pharmacies have now been approved to help distribute the vaccine to those 75 and older. The hospital and local pharmacies will follow the Tennessee COVID-19 Vaccination Plan, administering vaccinations to residents in current eligible phases of the county in which the clinic or pharmacy is located. These local pharmacies currently include: Gibbs Pharmacy, Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital, Del Mar Medical, Neighborhood Health and Pharmscript of TN. These providers and facilities are expected to receive COVID-19 vaccines this week and will handle their own scheduling processes for administering vaccinations. To schedule an appointment for your vaccination, call the number listed above for the Health Department or contact an approved local pharmacy.
The TN Department of Health announced that they will soon move into the next vaccination phase of ages 70 and older. When we are notified that the Health Department will move into the next vaccination phase, we will make an announcement.
The Wilson County Health Department is owned and operated by the TN Department of Health. The Wilson County Mayor’s Office is assisting the TN Department of Health in providing this valuable information to our residents.
