The natural gas rehabilitation/replacement project is complete. Final street repairs and repaving is next!
The current asphalt patch is a temporary “cold” patch that allows settlement to occur in the excavated areas. This temporary patch was touched up again this week.
Lojac has recently been authorized to return to the site, remove the temporary patch and complete a final neat and smooth permanent patch. Motorists will notice the improvement immediately upon completion. We anticipate Lojac to commence this work in two weeks.
Upon completion of the permanent patch we will be repaving the street from West Main to near Cumberland Dr. This repaving will be accomplished this fall.
The section of roadway beyond/south of Cumberland Dr to Leeville Pk with not be repaved until some additional drainage and utility work is complete. The permanent patch will be in place however.
We appreciate everyone’ patience during this process and are confident the gas system is in excellent condition and drainage improvements at the West Spring intersection are in place for future extension to Sinking Creek.
