Planting in the Park! February 4, 2012
Volunteers Needed on Feb. 4, 2012. Plan to meet at Jimmy Floyd Center at 8:30 a.m. for Volunteer Registration and the Tree Planting will begin at 9:00 am till 2:00pm. The Tennessee Environmental Council is partnering with the City of Lebanon Stormwater Dept. and the Beautification Commission to help plant a portion of these trees right here in Lebanon along the Cedar City Trail which travels along the banks of Sinking Creek. WATER/GAS OUTAGES PHONE NUMBER
The City of Lebanon has activated a new telephone number for citizens to call for information regarding water system and natural gas system outages or service interruption updates. The telephone number is 453-4381. A recorded message will report if there is known service outages in the area. To report a gas service problem or repair need, citizens still need to call the gas department at 443-2835 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., and the water department at 444-0825. For any gas, water or other public works emergency service problems after 4 p.m., call 444-0825. ...

ONBASE ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT IMAGING SERVER
The new Onbase Electronic Document Imaging Server is now online. Complete instructions are now online and can be viewed by clicking the link below. The username is GUEST and the password is 1234. You will have access to some of the most requested documents that the City currently has in our electronic database. New documents are added all the time and we are working on getting the older ones in now. If you can figure out the functionality of the interface (it isn't hard), then feel free to browse at your leisure. On slower connections, documents may take a while to download, especially if they are large documents, but they are available. ...

UTILITY RECONNECTION FEES
The City of Lebanon Utility Reconnection Fees have been revised per City Ordinance #06-3013. Beginning 11-21-2006, the Reconnection Fees are as follows: a) $30.00 for reconnection during business hours (7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.). b) There are no reconnections after hours. c) At the discretion of the Commissioner of Finance reconnect fees may be waived in extraordinary circumstances. Any and all waived reconnect fees will be reported to the City Council in writing. There will be a collection fee of $10.00 if a Utility Department employee has been sent out to your location to cut off your utilities and you have to come by to make a payment. ...

NEW WAY TO VIEW COUNCIL MINUTES
If you would like to find out if there are new City Council Meeting Minutes on the City website without actually having to go to the website, there is a way. It is called RSS (Rich Site Summary). RSS provides the same capabilities as e-mail. To do this you must download a RSS Reader. This will allow you to receive notification of the new minutes. Following are instructions on how to do this and how to view the new minutes. Download rssreader from http://www.rssreader.com/ Once you have done this. Execute rssreader and click the “Add Feed” option from the file menu. It will ask for the URL of the feed, enter http://www.lebanontn.org/rss/councilminutes.aspx It will provide the opportunity to rename the feed and to place the feed into a group.
