We review all plans and specifications for commercial construction projects, issue Building Permits and conduct inspections for residential and commercial Construction. Inspections to include but not limited to footings/foundations, plumbing, framing, existing buildings for change of occupancy, and new business licenses. We have a highly trained staff of certified inspectors on board who rountinely provide useful information regarding the city's various codes and ordinances. Note: We do not permit or conduct electrical inspections. Those are handled by the State of Tennessee deputy electrical inspector. Questions regarding electrical work may be answered by contacting the authority having jurisdiction.
