Lebanon Police Department Animal Control Animal Control is responsible for the enforcement of state animal control laws and city ordinances related to animals. Animal Control Officers regularly work in cooperation with animal advocates and other local law enforcement to provide a home and shelter for abandoned pets. In 2007 officers responded to 2,374 complaints involving stray animals, animal bites, and legal violations animals. Animal Control Officers transported 250 animals to the Lebanon Animal Control facility in 2007. Citizens also reported 36 dog bites during 2007 and officers investigated 8 animal cruelty incidents.
