CAREGIVERS SUPPORT GROUP
More and more senior adults are serving as caregivers for family members and friends. Many times caregivers experience overwhelming feelings of exhaustion, helplessness, isolation and even resentment. UMC’s McFarland Campus Behavioral Health Services is now offering a Caregiver’s Support Group on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 3:30 until 4:30 in the Reflections Program Area at McFarland Specialty Hospital on the First Floor. It is important to remember that to take care of others we must care for ourselves. For more information, contact Beth Goodner at 449-0500.
Computer Instructor Needed
We have a wonderful computer lab thanks to the hard work and dedication of Mr. Ed Hardee and Mr. Jimmy Counts. Since the passing of Mr. Hardee, we are in need of another computer instructor for our computer classes. We have quite a waiting list for the beginner class. Anyone who signs up now will probably have to wait until Spring of 2009. If you know someone who is a Computer Whiz who might be interested in volunteering a few hours a week to teach computer classes, please have them contact Teresa in the office.
