  POSITION:    BUILDING INSPECTOR (Certified)

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Inspects construction, alteration and repair to structures for conformance to structural and fire safety regulations and requirements.

 

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

High school diploma or equivalent. Must obtain certification in various approved Building Codes/International Code Council classes.  Valid Tennessee driver’s license. Completion of two year coursework at community college or equivalent experience.

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

Good physical condition.

Valid Tennessee Driver’s License.

At Least 18 Years of Age

Successful report from physical examination including psychological examination and drug screening.

 **All applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use (including use of steroids) prior to appointment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Valid Tennessee Drivers License preferred. Completion of eight grade.
