Teaching children fire safety in the schools
The city of Lebanon invested approximately $24,000 in outfitting the mobile fire-safety training house. The child sized house is designed with a contril room, tiny kitchen, living room and bedroom, along with special equipment that can replicate a real fire. Fire fighters teach children through a realistic fire experience what to do when the room begins to fill with smoke, how to call 911 and safety precautions near a fireplace, kitchen and other appliances.
