Liquor Store Certificate of Compliance
Liquor Certificate of Compliance Applications are $250. We only accept cash or check.
To apply for a Certificate of Compliance, you will need a copy of your lease agreement, social security number, driver’s license, sketch of your location (showing the street, adjourning property owners, and nearest church), and square footage of your building.
Once the application is completed and turned in, it will get sent over to the Police Department. Once we receive the paperwork back, we can add the applicant to the next City Council Agenda. Once the council approves and signs the Certificate of Compliance, it can be issued to the applicant the following day.
After you apply with ABC and receive your Liquor License, you will need to pay the Liquor By the Drink Tax. The Fees are provided by the state and are listed below.
Liquor By the Drink Licensing
If you are renewing your Certificate of Compliance, you will not have to pay the fee, but you will need to complete the Certificate of Compliance Retail Package Store Form & the Police Department Report on Liquor Store Compliance Applicant. Once you have completed the forms, they will be sent over to the Police Department and when the Business Tax Office receives them back, we can put the applicant on the next City Council Agenda. Once the Council approves and signs the Certificate of Compliance, we can issue it to the applicant the following day.
