1. My cart is dirty; can I have a new one?

The Supervisor will make an inspection of the cart, and make a determination as to what needs to be done (replace, repair, etc).

2. I am moving to another location inside the City Limits, can I take my cart with me?

No. The carts are assigned to addresses not individuals.

3. Someone has stolen my cart or my neighbor has run over my cart. What do I do?

In these cases, we ask that a Police Report be filed. If we do not find the stolen cart within a couple of days, we do issue another cart, or replace the damaged ones.

4. Can I put my Grass Clippings and small pile of Limbs in the Cart?

No. The carts are for household waste only. One of the most frequent problems we have is people discarding animal waste or hazardous materials in the carts such as: Batteries, Used Motor Oil, Paints. These situations are Code Violations and are turned over to our Codes Department.

5. I had my Cart at the curb and they did not pick it up.

We find that in a large percentage of these cases the cart was not out when the truck came by. We do go back, depending on the available time to do so. In some cases a customer may have to wait until the next scheduled pick-up date.
